What is inode ?

inode is a data structure in Linux file system, Which holds all the information about your files in your Linux server.  The number of files in your account indicates the relative amount of files in your account. More inode count means, more files. This inode count includes everything including, emails, files, image files, data files, my sql files, others files, JS/HTML/CSS files, what ever you create in your account is all calculated together to find the total inode count in your account.

What are the inode limits with Parallax Hosting?

The inode limit various based on the plan & amount paid by you.

Linux Web Hosting Plan:

Starter Plan                         30,000
Silver Plan                           50,000
Gold Plan                             75,000
Platinum Plan                      100,000

Linux Reseller Hosting Plan:

Reseller's All plan                100,000

VPS Hosting:

VPS Server => no inode limit

Dedicated / Cloud Hosting:

Dedicated Server => no inode limit

Why to have inode limit ?

Total inode count limit prevents users from abusing the server's shared resources. It not only affects his own website, It will affect 100s of other website hosted on the same server. More over, the total inode limit is based on the amount paid by the customer per month, i.e based on the plan what you choose.
To put it in another words, You are allowed to use the inodes based on the amount paid by you.

What can I do ? When I get inode limit warning or Disk space problem ?

You can contact our support team by Ticket or by chat, We will be happy to help you in upgrading the plan. Before sending a ticket or chatting with us,  Please find out the inode usage for your account using cPanel and also decide on what plan you want to upgrade based on your inode total usage count.

Important: When sending a Email to our support team for upgradation, Please mention what plan you want to upgrade. To know the inode limit, please refer the above inode count table.
